Show Notes for Episode 70, Charles R. Morris "The Trillion Dollar Meltdown"

TrimorI don't often say this, but I think this turned out to be a very good interview, even though we never got to the main strength of the book, which is a very well written description of how we got into this credit crisis, including easy to understand descriptions of such things as sovereign wealth funds, structured investment vehicles (SIV's), how tranches of sub-prime mortgages were laundered through credit rating agencies, etc. It's all here, brilliantly laid out. Still, I wanted to get his take on what is going on know, which is why there was only 2 days between when the interview was conducted and when it was posted. I like Charles Morris very much, and though I know some think he is a bit overly bearish, I tend to find myself drawn to those writers.
