Show Notes for Episode 68, Barbara Kellerman "Followership"
If I have learned nothing else in producing a podcast, I have learned that sometimes, you have to do a show that is right in front of your nose. I had completely forgotten about this book, though I did have its page dog-eared in my HBSP catalog as a "want to see". Then, the whirl of shows took over, and I thought for sure I was going to do a show with Rakesh Khurana this month. But schedules clashed, and then, the bright people at HBSP reminded me that I had expressed an interest in this book and that Barbara Kellerman would be available. That is the well planned chaos of a podcast, which in this case turned out particularly well, because Barbara Kellerman is a tremendously engaging guest and one of the world's authorities on the study of leadership.
Of course, this is a business program, but I could not not ask about the Democratic primary. I was at a dinner last night, and though I always tend to shy away from political discussions, we had all had enough good Oregon wine by the end for me to bring this up. To a person, and the table was split between Republicans and Democrats, there was agreement that it is going to be hard for anyone to beat Obama's star power. Which side am I on, listener/reader? Please, you should know by now that I don't talk politics in public, at least not without a few glasses of wine, apparently.
Anyway, this episode runs 34:37 and can be heard by clicking here.
And, as it is now spring here in Portland, let me dust off the old battle cry and yell, "Let's go, Giants!".
